PRIVACY

Your story is not your data trail.

This plain-language notice explains the current LearnStory product. It should be read with the editorial standards and safety information.

LearnStory separates information needed to review a submission from the information that appears on a public story. A reader can view approved stories without an account.

What can be public

An approved story can show its title, summary, situation tags, P‑S‑A‑O‑L sections, reading time, publication date and either a chosen public name or “Anonymous.” Your private email address and private name are not part of the public story.

What moderators can see

When you submit a story, moderators may see the information you provide to review it: your story, selected identity mode, chosen public name, and any private contact information you choose to include. Profile images are used only for your signed-in profile.

Why it is collected

Submission information is used to review consent, safety, clarity and publication readiness. Account details are used to operate your signed-in profile. LearnStory’s aggregate product events are designed to measure actions such as reading, sharing or completing a submission; they are not intended to contain story text, email addresses, names or moderator notes.

A note for sensitive information

LearnStory is not an emergency, medical, legal or counselling service. If a situation requires urgent help, use a trusted local support service or emergency channel rather than waiting for a website response.
